WESTERVILLE, OHIO (May 5) - Jeff Ritchey set a course record and tied the
MAC tournament record with his third-round score of 63 at the 2000
Mid-American Conference Men's Golf Championship on May 5. He moved into second
place with an overall score of 209 (72-74-63--209), leading the RedHawks
to a solid spot in second place (285-288-278--851).
Ben Curtis (Kent State) and the Golden Flashes remain in the lead, both
individually and as a team. Curtis turned in two rounds of 69 today for
a total of 204 (66-69-69), while the team took a commanding lead at 844
(282-283-279).
Toledo's Tim Rice (69-68-73) and Kent State's Jon Mills (72-71-67--210)
and Danny Sahl (69-72-69--210) are tied for third place, shadowed by
Miami's Lee Curry (67-69-75--211) in sixth place.
The final round of the championship is set to begin at 8 a.m. on
May 6 at The Medallion in Westerville, Ohio.
