KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Terry Reynolds made four free throws and a steal in the final 27 seconds of the second overtime as Toledo defeated Auburn 95-90 Saturday to
advance to the championship game of the Energia Systems Thanksgiving Tournament.
Reynolds scored 36 points and made a diving backcourt steal with 26 seconds left in the second overtime.
Greg Stempin, who had 22 points, rebounded a Reynolds' miss and put it back in the net with 31 seconds left in the final overtime to give Toledo (2-0) a 91-90 lead.
It appeared the Rockets might win in regulation when Stempin swished a three-pointer with 17 seconds remaining to give Toledo a 74-71 lead. But Mack McGadney tied the
game on a 3-pointer with four seconds left in regulation.
McGadney, who led Auburn (3-2) with 33 points and 19 rebounds, again tied the game with a field goal with 11 seconds left in overtime to send the game into double overtime.
Adam Harrington scored 17 points and Marquis Daniels finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers.
The Rockets will face the winner of the Creighton-Providence game Sunday.
Toledo opened the season with victories over Southeast Missouri State and Auburn, two teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament last season.
