Richmond Defeats Western Michigan, 86-70

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - Greg Stevenson scored 19 points and Kinte Smith added 18 as Richmond defeated Western Michigan, 86-70, on Saturday (Nov. 25).

The Spiders (2-1) never trailed, leading by as many as 23 points in the first half. They held the rebounding advantage 30-23 and shot 66 percent from the floor for the game, while Western Michigan (0-3) made 48.2 percent of its shots.

A 3-pointer by Reggie Berry brought the Broncos to within 17-10 midway through the first, but Richmond went on a 15-4 run and eventually led 49-33 at the half.

Robby Collum led five Broncos in double figures with 12 points. Berry and Terrance Slater had 11 points, while Steve Reynolds and Anthony Kann added 10.

Eric Zwayer had 12 points off the bench for the Spiders.
