Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week
MMyia McQuirter, Western Michigan (Jr., OH)

Western Michigan junior outside hitter MMyia McQuirter is this weeks MAC Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 5.0 kills per game and hitting .397. She helped the Broncos to the West Division and MAC Champion crowns with wins over Ball State and Northern Illinois, extending WMUs winning streak to 16. McQuirter, who also averaged 1.38 blocks per game, had 17 kills and seven blocks in a win over the Cardinals, then had a career-high 23 kills and hit .514 in a victory over the Huskies.

Mid-American Conference Co-Defensive Players of the Week

Akron sophomore outside hitter Ashlie Case is this weeks MAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Bowling Greens Caty Rommeck. Case, who helped the Zips to wins over Miami and Marshall, averaged 6.17 digs per game, in addition to contributing 6.33 kills per game offensive and hitting a composite .412. Case had 23 digs and 25 digs in a win over the RedHawks, which was the teams first 20-kill, 20-dig performance of the season, then had 14 digs, 13 kills and one block versus the Thundering Herd.

Caty Rommeck, Bowling Green (Jr., M)
Sterling Heights, Mich. (Oakland University/Henry Ford II HS)

For the fifth time this season, Bowling Greens Caty Rommeck has either been named or shared the MAC Defensive Player of the Week, this week sharing it with Akrons Ashlie Case. Rommeck, who has helped the Falcons to a current eight-match win streak, averaged 3.33 blocks and 1.50 digs per contest in wins over Cleveland State and Buffalo. Rommeck had eight blocks, five digs and 10 kills versus the Vikings, then had 12 blocks -- five solo and seven block assists -- four digs and eight blocks versus the Bulls. In addition, Rommeck averaged 3.00 kills per game and hit .375 for the week.
