Baxter was 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles this week. He won at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles against 50th ranked Louisville in a 5-2 loss. Baxter also won those same slots in a 7-0 conference triumph over Northern Illinois. Baxter recorded singles wins of 6-1, 6-0 versus Louisville's Turtko Kujundzic and 6-2, 6-1 versus Northern Illinois' Brent Starski. Baxter is 22-8 overall in singles and 15-6 in doubles. He did not play last week against Buffalo due to a shoulder injury.
Other Notable Performances
Bowling Green's Micael Lopez-Alevedo (Fr., Guatnabo, Puerto Rico) went 6-0 on the weekend, winning three singles and three doubles matches. In the MAC opener at Buffalo, he won at No. 3 singles and at the second doubles flight. Alevedo won at No. 4 singles and No. 6 singles in non-conference action versus Denison and Robert Morris. He also captured wins at the third doubles flight against Denison and the second flight versus RMC. Alevedo has a team-best 17-6 singles record and is 17-13 in doubles.
Buffalo's Fery Kasiman (Fr., Jakarta, Indonesia) picked up wins in matches versus Toledo and Ball State. Kasiman, the Bulls' No. 2 player, joined the team in the second semester and is currently 10-4 in singles play.
