Mid-American Conference Pepsi Offensive Player of the Week

For the second time this season Heather Cusick is the MAC's Pepsi
Offensive Player of the Week. In two games last week, Cusick averaged
22.5 points, six assists, 5.5 rebounds and five steals for the RedHawks,
who posted wins over Northern Illinois and Marshall. Cusick, who hit 68
percent of her shots from the field (15-of-22), tied career highs in
both points (23) and assists (9) against Northern Illinois and also had
22 points, six rebounds and six steals versus Marshall.
Other nominees:
Erica Glover, Akron -- Averaged 15.5 points, seven rebounds and two
assists as the Zips split with Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan.
Francine Miller, Bowling Green -- Averaged 18 points, 8.5 rebounds for
the Falcons, who split road games with Toledo and Ohio.
Amy Zercher, Ball State -- In two games, averaged 13 points, 5.5
rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest. Had a career-high 21 points
against Marshall.
Alicia Rozak, Central Michigan -- Led the Chippewas in scoring last
week with 16 points against Eastern Michigan and 14 versus Toledo.
Dawn Zerman, Kent -- Averaged 19 points and 7.5 assists last week for
the Golden Flashes, including 31 points against Buffalo.
Adraine Bryant, Toledo -- Had career highs of 21 points and 11 assists
in the Rockets' win over Bowling Green.
Shelsea Erving, Western Michigan -- Had 25 points, six rebounds and
three assists in the Broncos' win at Akron.

Capturing the MAC Pepsi Defensive Player of the Week honor for the
second time this year is Western Michigan's Kristin Koetsier. The
freshman center pulled down 14 rebounds, 11 on the defensive end, in the
Broncos' win at Akron. Koetsier also added 18 points and two steals in
the victory.
Other nominees:
Cheryl Bowles, Akron -- Grabbed 8.5 rebounds per game to go with 13
points per contest.
Tamara Bowie, Ball State -- Averaged seven rebounds, 2.5 blocks and two
steals per contest as the Cardinals won a pair of games. Also tallied
12 points per game.
Vershaun Jones, Central Michigan -- In two games, averaged eight points,
seven rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest. Helped hold Eastern Michigan
to 11 first-half points.
Heather Cusick, Miami -- Averaged 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 steals and 6.0
assists per game, in addition to averaging 22.5 points per contest.
Tia Davis, Toledo -- Had an average of 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 5.5
points per game as the Rockets won a pair of games.
