Week 9 Notes
CLEVELAND, Ohio (Oct. 23, 2000) -- Wide receiver Sean Schembra of Ball State,
Marshall defensive end Ralph Street and Ohio placekicker Kevin Kerr were honored
as this week's Mid-American Conference Players of the Week for the eighth week of the season.
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Ball State wide receiver Sean Schembra (So., Beech Grove, Ind.)
Schembra caught a career-high eight passes for 181 yards and a touchdown in Ball State's
44-35 win at Buffalo. The win was the Cardinals' third consecutive after breaking a 21-game
losing streak. Schembra's touchdown came with 3:22 left in the third quarter and gave BSU a

MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Marshall defensive end Ralph Street (Jr., Mims, Fla.)
Street had nine tackles, including four solos and five assists, in a 34-12 win
versus Kent State that snapped Marshall's two-game losing streak. Street had four
tackles for a loss of 16 yards with two of those sacks for minus 11 yards. He
was also credited with five quarterback hurries.
Also nominated: Buffalo FS Craig Rohlfs (career-high 15
tackles, 12 solos, 2 tackles for loss, 2 fumble recoveries vs. Ball State);
BGSU FS Sergio Lund (9 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble vs. Eastern Michigan);
NIU FS Buster Sampson (career-high 16 tackles, 12 solos vs. Western Michigan);
Ohio SS Chris London (1 interception, 2 pass break ups vs. Central Michigan);
WMU OLB Terrence Moore (7 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 caused fumble vs. Northern Illinois).
MAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Ohio placekicker Kevin Kerr (So., Cincinnati, Ohio)
Kerr scored 10 points in a 52-3 win over Central Michigan. His performance included
a perfect 7-of-7 PATs and a 44-yard field goal. Kerr has made 30 consecutive PATs and
his 60 points this season is just two points shy of the best kick-scoring season in
