MAC East Division Preview: Akron Picked Second in East

The Akron Zips were picked by the Media to finish second in the MAC East Division with 310 votes, including seven first place votes and two votes to win the MAC Championship Game. The Zips return 15 starters (eight offensive, six defensive and a kicker) among 44 returning lettermen from a 1999 squad that finished 7-4 and tied for third place in the competitive MAC East.
