First Energy Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Championship
Will Be Held At Gund Arena March 5, 6 and 8
CLEVELAND, OHIO -- All-session ticket packages for the First Energy Mid-American
Conference Men's Basketball Championship at Gund Arena will go on sale this Friday,
November 26, 1999 at 9 a.m. The all-session packages include tickets to the quarterfinal,
semifinal and championship games, which will be held at Gund Arena. The winner of the MAC
2000 Championship earns the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Tournament.
The Mid-American Conference sent three men's teams to post-season play last season, led by
Miami University's appearance in the NCAA Tournament's "Sweet 16." Kent State University
also earned an appearance in the NCAA Field of 64 while Toledo played in the 32-team National
Invitation Tournament (NIT) field.
The first round of the MAC Championship will be held on campus sites, on Wednesday, March
1, with the top three seeds earning a bye in the opening round. The five winning teams will then
join the top three seeds at Gund Arena for the remainder of the tournament, which is divided into
four sessions, as follows:

All-session packages are offered at $84, $67.50, $45, which includes all four sessions for the
price of three. VIP seating and ticket packages are also available. All-session packages for the
MAC 2000 Championship can be purchased by calling the Gund Arena ticket sales department at
(216) 420-2287. Individual session tickets will go on sale on Monday, January 31, at all
TicketMaster locations. All single session tickets for the MAC 2000 Championship are located in
the lower bowl of Gund Arena and are priced at $28, $22.50, and $15.

School sections also have been reserved for only those sessions in which an institution is
participating. Fans interested in sitting in a certain school section may purchase tickets directly
through the school's athletic ticket office.
