Lewis, who propelled the Falcons to three wins last week, averaged 4.67
kills per game and hit .321 (56-14-131) for Bowling Green, which
currently has an eight-match winning streak. The senior outside hitter
had 15 kills and hit .424 in a non-league win at Oakland and had 15
kills, 19 digs and three blocks in a four-game win at Kent. Lewis
concluded the week with a 26-kill, 13-dig performance against Akron,
helping the Falcons come back from a two games to zero deficit.
Jen Nowak, Western Michigan (Jr., S)
St. Charles, Ill. (St. Charles HS)
Nowak quarterbacked the Broncos to three league wins, which improved the
Broncos' win streak to 11 straight. The junior setter averaged 13.45
assists, 1.09 kills, 2.27 digs and 0.27 blocks per game. Nowak, who is
second in the MAC in assists per game (13.50), had 68 assists in a
four-game win at Miami, in addition to six kills and 10 digs. Nowak
also had 44 assists versus Marshall and 36 in a sweep of Ohio, to go
with 10 digs.

In two matches, Meshberger averaged 2.43 blocks per game for Ball State,
which picked up wins at home against Buffalo and Northern Illinois and
have won six straight. Meshberger had six blocks (1 BS, 5 BA) versus
Buffalo and added 11 (3 BS, 8 BA) against the Huskies, which marked the
fourth-highest total in a four-game match in team history. In addition,
the sophomore added 20 kills and hit .600 (20-2-30) for the week.
