MAC Announces Time Changes For Tournament Television Games

CLEVELAND (Feb. 23) -- The Mid-American Conference, in conjunction with ESPN and Fox Sports Net, have announced a time change in the First Energy MAC Men's Basketball championship game and established a start time for the MAC women's championship game.

The men's final, which will be carried on Wednesday, March 8 on ESPN, has been moved up to a 7 p.m. start time, while the women's title game is slated for a 5:45 p.m. tip-off on Saturday, March 4 on Fox Sports Net.

The women's tournament begins with five first round games on campus sites on Monday, February 28. Eight teams convene in Cleveland for two sessions of quarterfinal action in Public Hall on Thursday, March 2.

The semifinals are slated for Friday, March 3, with the championship game tabbed for the following day. Fox Sports Net will carry the semifinals and the championship game.

Men's first round action begins on Wednesday, March 1, also on five campus sites. Those winners, along with the three teams who earned byes to Cleveland, will start quarterfinal action on Sunday, March 5 at Gund Arena.

Fox Sports Net will air both of the semifinals on Monday, March 6 and the championship game on Wednesday, March 8 can be seen nationally on ESPN.
