Orlow had seven points as she led the Eagles to a 2-0-1 ledger this past week. She scored two goals against Wisconsin-Green Bay for a 2-1 victory and scored what proved to be the game-winner in a 4-1 victory over Northern Illinois. The senior back also played an important role for the Eastern Michigan defense that shutout Western Michigan in a 0-0 tie. Eastern's defense is currently ranked first in the country, while Orlow is tenth in the conference in scoring with 17 points in 12 games.

MAC WOMEN'S SOCCER NOTEBOOK
Of the 14 matches played last week involving MAC schools, 11 were decided by one goal or less. There were four double-overtime matches and three ties, including two ties for Bowling Green.
Four MAC teams (Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Kent and Marshall) have already played three double-overtime games this season. Kent has played three consecutive double-overtime contests since Oct. 3. The Golden Flashed defeated Ball State on Oct. 10 to pick up their first double-overtime victory of the season.
MAC teams are currently 17-6-1 (.761) when they play non-conference opponents during the week (Monday-Thursday). Eastern Michigan beat Wisconsin-Green Bay 2-1 and Western Michigan beat Detroit 2-1 last Wednesday. The next non-conference weekday game will be Detroit at Bowling Green on Oct. 20.
Miami has won four MAC contests in a row ... Northern Illinois is currently in the midst of a seven-game overtime winning streak dating back to their 1997 2-1 MAC tournament defeat of Eastern Michigan ... Buffalo's streak of 12 matches with a loss ended against Miami on Oct. 10 ... Kent broke a five-game losing streak with its 2-1 victory over Ball State ... Ball State is winless in its last 14 matches.
SO CLOSE YET SO FAR:
Ball State has been on the unlucky end of eight one-goal games in its inaugural season. Of those eight games, the team has suffered five 2-1 losses.
Buffalo's streak of 12 matches without a loss is a new school record ... Miami's 11 overall wins and four conference wins this season are both program records ... Kent's Anne Olshanski's 11 career goals ties the school record ... Michelle Lisy is now the all-time career scoring leader at Bowling Green with 33 points ... Ohio's offense had 27 shots on Friday and 29 shots on Sunday, the fourth and fifth highest amounts ever for the Bobcats in one game respectively ... Central Michigan has broken the school record for shutouts in one season with five this season.
Three MAC teams and five individual players have been ranked in the top 20 of several different categories by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) this week. Eastern Michigan has the top-ranked defense with a 0.27 goals against average, the Eagles are also sixth in shutouts per game (0.64), and eighth in winning percentage (.857) ... Buffalo has the ninth-ranked defense in the country with a 0.62 goals against average and fifth in the country with a winning percentage of .885 ...Miami has the 10th best scoring offense in the country, averaging 3.08 goals per game and the 10th best winning percentage (.846) ... Buffalo's Paula Listrani is 10th in the country in scoring (2.46 points per game) and 18th in goals per game (0.92) ... Eastern Michigan's Amanda Kulikowski is 15th in the country with 0.64 assists per game ... Sarah Willis of Eastern Michigan is third in goals against average (0.33) ... Buffalo's Jamie Adams is eighth in goals against average (0.51) ... Kent's Lindsay Mitchell is eighth in the country in saves per game (8.77).
While a few teams are holding true to their pre-season coaches' rankings, there are some surprises. Buffalo who was picked to finish ninth in the conference is currently first, followed by Central Michigan who was picked to finish fifth. Ohio, picked to finish first, is currently fifth while Northern Illinois, picked to finish second, is seventh in the conference.
